How to Create Nokia S40 V6 themes! (C1-01, C1-02)

 This Post shows how to create Nokia S40 Theme!

Inorder to create themes you need to download two files.

1. Carbide.ui

2. Entry.ui (plug in)

you can download the above files from HERE (make sure you download S40 theme edition)

after downloading both files, install Carbide.ui and follow the steps to install plugin.

1. Open Carbide.ui and go to Window > Preferences 

2. Expand Carbide.ui Series 40 Theme by clicking on + mark, select Plug-in Management and click on 

    Add button.

3. Click on Browse and select Entry.ui from your pc and click on Install.

4. Now Click on Create Theme

5. Enter the Name of your Theme and Press Finish

6. Click on the Blue-text drop down Menu.

7. And select Entry UI.

8. Now can start creating your Theme, below image shows the editing mode, 

        1. shows the Resources, you can click on and change the default images and sounds

        2. shows current selection Active idle elements, select any particular element to edit

        3. shows the selected Element to edit

        4. you can scroll down and select all the screens to modify.

        5. shows the selected item to edit

9.  I'll show just one example to edit the theme, Click on the Wallpaper in the Active idle 

     elements screen and right click on the qgn_bg_mainmenu.

10. Click on Select File

11. Click on Browse and select the folder of the image and now all the images in that folder will be shown, 

      select the image you wanted as your wallpaper and click ok.

like wise, do changes to all the elements you want and use image editing softwares like Photoshop to create images.

12. After editing all the required elements, go to Tools and select Create New Package

13. Select Series 40 Theme V3.0 Lite, give a name to your Theme and if in case  you left out some 

      elements of the theme without editing check the boxes, click on Browse and select the destination to

      saveyour Theme and click on Finish.

That's it, a new pop up screen will appear asking to apply Theme into your phone, select yes if you want or select no and copy manually from pc to phone.
